I have felt that way, too. I am on medication at this time, but they are not helping as much as they should. All I want to do is sleep! I will pray for your Mom and hope she starts feeling better.
Ariel
We are purring for your Mom.
Mum and I are sending lots of good thoughts to you, and especially to your Mom. Oh, and Ariel, please remind your Mom that you love her every chance you get - my Mum loves it when I do this with her,
{{{hugs}}}
Tasha & Karen (Mum)
It is terrible to be in a depression and a lot of humans go through it at times, so your mom is not alone in her suffering, although it undoubtedly seems like it at the time. Jan sends a big hug and a prayer for your mom and we send lots of purrs and tail wags.
Ariel, we send comforting purrs to your Mom.
We purr that someday she will have more happiness and depression will take a back seat. It is such a sad disease. Your Mom is lucky to have you as we are sure you must be a bid comfort to her :)
Thank you for your purrs for Mickey.
We really miss him and it will take
a while to get used to him bot being here.
Purrs Tillie and Georgia
Ariel, I'm sorry your mom feels sad. I will keep her in my thoughts and purrs.
Big hugs to you and your Mom Ariel! The PM has friends that feel the same way at times and the PM tries to help them through it, taking it day by day. That is the only way to go, slowly doing your best each day. Some days your best will be just getting out of bed and that is a victory for that day.
We'll be sending healing vibes and keep your mom in our thoughts. We wish we were closer and could take her out for a lunch and a chat.
Keep on snuggling!

Purrrrrring and purrrraying for Ariel and her Mom.
Our Mama goes through this too. In fact we wrote about it on our blog last night because we were having trouble helping Mama... she just kept crying and crying! Maybe it will help her to think that others are going through it too. Our Mama says sometimes she tries to take her emotional sadness and think of it like physical pain, like the flu or a sore throat. She says it is A LITTLE easier if she can tell herself that her broken-hearted feeling is just a temporary illness, not reality, and that soon she will feel better again. She says most of all, on days like today, she just wants to feel NORMAL!We hope your Mom will have a better day tomorrow. ::hugs::
Our mama feels the same way sometimes. She too, is on medication, but she's kind of going through a tough time right now too. She says it really makes you feel like you're all alone, even though she's got us.
We're purring for your mama, our mama & all the mama's out there feeling lost & alone. Depression SUCKS!!
O, Ariel,

Lots of purrrs and prrrayers to your Mom Ariel!!
(((((((((HUGGGGGGGSSSSSS)))))))) from your TX furiends,
Yes, our mom has been clinically depressed and on meds twice, once for 10 months, then again for 3 years. She's off them now, but is aware of her triggers. Depression is an illness like any other, so we're glad your mom is being treated. But if the meds aren't working for her, perhaps she needs to try a different one--heaven knows there are tons of them out there. And also look at other tools to help: exercise, diet, meditation, yoga, whatever works for your mom. Also, something our mom knows: Too much thinking just creates an endless loop of negative energy. Seriously. Less thought, more action. LOL.
BTW, the mom struggles daily with the meaningless of her life, of Life itself. She thinks it's part of the depression--her outlook.
Lots of hugs and purrs to your mom, we'll keep her in our purrayers.

Our Mom is on medication too for depression. She says we are the reason she keeps going. It's up to us kitties to give our Moms a reason for living and to be happy we are in their lives. Kitties are the best medicine! (((HUGS)))
Ariel, we're so sorry your mom isn't feeling well. We're glad that she has you to help make her feel a little better. We're sending her some big headbutts and purrs.
So many people are depressed and sometimes life is overwhelming. Please have your Mom talk to her doctor about a change in medication. Dad takes Abilify, which boosts the anti-depressant to help it work better.
We are thinking of you Ariel, and your Mom, too.
oh Ariel'sMom, depression is such a hard thing and we are so sorry you have to go through this. You are not alone - you haf all of us in the CB purrring for you and lifting you up. We loves you!
Oh, us kitties are a comfort to sad humans, but it is scary sometimes when we can't help. When our daddy died 4 years ago, our Teri suffered from depression too and with the help of a therapist and lots of green papers, she is coming out of the stagnanation that depression forms--it is the true reason our basement just sat and sat and sat all messy and we lost our birdwatching station. But as all your friends here have said, when something is not working, then a change just might be in order, as scary as that is, this way is more frightening.
Depression can be a very ugly thing. We will purr and pray for your Mom to feel better!
Ariel, we are sending your Mum lots of purrs and love. You are being a very good cat comforting her, keep it up, things will feel better

Oh yes. A change in meds might be in order. Our Maw has been on antidepressants since 1988. She was off for 1 year, and then tanked again. She has had major depression most of her life, even when a wee little thing. It is not easy to live with depression. Therapy and good medication can help. Yes, it is a chemical thing as ML says. Hang in there. Do you ever journal? That helps. Have you looked into SAD? Maw and Paw have Apollo lights that they use. Don't know if they make them any more, but here is a website that has a 10,000 lux daylight spectrum light:

Many purrs and hugs and purrayers to you.
