A note from mom

Ariel's mom here...Couldn't sleep last night. Yet was awoken this morning by a cat paw in the eye.
Guess this was Ariel's way of getting me back for keeping her up with the TV.I must say Ariel has been a great comfort to me these past days. She an excellent listener when I gripe about my day.
It really surprise me how many of you suffer with depression as well ,and still took the time to send words of comfort to me .Yes the blogosphere is a wonderful place and me and Ariel are very blessed to have such dear sweet friends.Thank You for your prays and thoughts they mean so much to me.....Hugs

ariel, you are surely a delight for your mom.

our momma was depressed a long, long time ago - long before us kitties - and back then she had her dogs to comfort her.

we'll be keeping your mom and you in our purrs and prayers.

Sending lots of warm cozy purrs to your mom that she feels better. She has you and that is a whole lot.

Sometimes it still surprises our mom, too, how many people also battle with depression. You just never know what's behind the masks we all wear.

For a moment we thought we were lost. We really like the new look of your blog, Ariel, but we hope those storm clouds aren't for your mom. We are sending more purrs and tail wags for lots of sunshine and happiness for you both.

YAY! StarWalker BitCat the ComputerKitty finally got the comment box to open up!! I'm the mom of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitty Horde & I tried commenting earlier but couldn't manage it!

In our house we have three people with bipolar depression (me & my two kids - one daughter 18 in Aug & one 15 yo son) and my husband has 'plain' depression. Then there are three with ADD (my husband & the two kids) and all of the other comorbid stuff!

I don't think Ariel was trying to get back at you. She was probably just making sure you were okay. Besides, how can Ariel make sure to help you feel better without breakfast! ::grin::

Purrs & prayers from our house to you, feel free to contact us anytime!

I didn't get to come by this weekend, but my mom and I wanted to drop in to say hello and to send you well wishes.

My mom was diagnosed over 25 years ago with a rare form of OCD with Perfectionism and Clinical Depression. She has learned some wonderful coping mechanisms, but every once in a while must go back on some medication and visit her therapist. There are times that she really gets down, but she is a survivor and she has a positive outlook! Mom has had over 10 surgeries during the past 4 years and it can get rough, but life is wonderful! We just wanted you to know we were thinking about your mom and understand how things can get.

Job well done Ariel! :-) So glad that you're a big help to your mom at times of depression and loneliness. I bet everybody knows how much you love your mom, and that's really a nice thing to look up to everyday as we wake up.

By the way Ariel, you might want to share this website to your mom when you're both bored at home - www.floppycats.com - my kitties and I visit them regularly. You can browse different cat product reviews there like toys, treats, beds and many more!

Have a good one! Stay as sweet as you are Ariel! :-)
